Transylvania Hostel was founded by two brothers in May 2008. We have a young and dynamic staff, which loves to travel and are curious to meet people from all over the world. At our hostel in Cluj our goal is to create a unique cultural experience for our guests.

Firstly, we would like to show you our city. Cluj is one of the most beautiful cities in Romania, with a vivid history, dating back to the Roman Empire. So we decided to organize a tour during which you can learn about all the periods that have made Cluj so special, including the Roman period, the Medieval times, remains of the Communist era and today’s modern and lively town.

Secondly, we would like to show you the Romanian way of partying. We know the best pubs, clubs and cafes around and we make no secret of our longing for you to join us. For nature lovers we recommend short escapes to the Salt Mines, caves, canyons and lakes which you can find around Cluj, to recharge your batteries.

In the evenings, we encourage you to join us in one of the many common areas for a chat about your travel stories and we may even ask you to write a short, funny or interesting note about your country.Last but not least, you can taste a Romanian beer at the reception after your long trip.
